Opening a second location
Say you've decided to open a second location in the next town over, 40 minutes away. There are about sixty things to do: find a storage space, hire a local manager, recruit six cleaners, set the service area, update the website, stock the new supply shelf, and move a handful of existing clients to the new crew.
You start from the 'new location' template. Tasks are assigned: your office manager owns hiring, linked to three open roles in the ATS; your ops lead owns supplies, linked to a purchase order; you own the lease and the local manager hire. The board shows what's blocked and what's done.
Six weeks in, the board shows the website and service area done, four of six cleaners hired and in training, and supplies received. The last few columns are about the first week of cleans, and those go onto the regular schedule like any other job.

Why not just use a separate project tool?

Is this for cleaning jobs?
No. Cleaning visits live on the schedule in the service module, with checklists, time tracking and invoicing. Projects is for the business work around them: launches, onboarding, hiring pushes, audits and office tasks. The two connect, but they solve different problems, and keeping them separate keeps your schedule clean.
Can my cleaners see projects?
Only if you want them to. Permissions control who can see each project. A crew lead might be on the quality-audit board, while most cleaners never need to see Projects at all. Access follows the same roles as the rest of maid.co.
Does it have recurring tasks?
Yes. Set tasks to repeat weekly, monthly or quarterly, like a monthly supply count review, a quarterly crew quality audit or an annual insurance renewal check. Recurring tasks keep routine office work from slipping when the business gets busy. Each one lands on the right person's board with a due date.
Can I plan projects visually?
