Field app

The app your cleaners actually open

Today's homes, gate codes, pet notes, checklists and timers on every cleaner's phone. It installs from the browser in seconds and keeps working when the signal drops in a basement or a high-rise.

Works offline

View jobs, fill checklists, take photos and run timers with no signal. Everything syncs when the phone reconnects.

2

Installs in seconds

No app store, no updates to chase. Cleaners add it to their home screen from a link and they're in.

Built for the crew

Big buttons, Spanish language, dark mode and one-tap directions. Made for people with gloves on and a caddy in hand.

The whole day in one screen

Your cleaners start the morning with a list of today's visits in order, with arrival windows, addresses and the notes that matter. They don't need to text the office to ask which door to use or whether the dog is friendly. It's on the visit.

Access notes, gate and alarm codes, key tags, parking instructions and pet details carry over from the client record. When a client changes their alarm code, the office updates it once and every future visit shows the new one.

  • Today's route with arrival windows and one-tap directions
  • Access notes, alarm and gate codes, key tag numbers
  • Pet names, temperaments and where they'll be during the clean
  • Client instructions and special requests per visit
  • Push notifications when the schedule changes

Offline first, because homes have dead zones

Anyone who has cleaned a finished basement or a concrete condo tower knows the phone goes quiet. The maid.co field app keeps working. Cleaners can open the visit, work through the checklist, snap before and after photos and run their timer without a bar of signal.

When the phone finds Wi-Fi or cell service again, everything syncs to the office. No lost photos, no half-finished checklists, no calls asking whether the job got marked complete.

Proof of a good clean, captured on the spot

Before and after photos are the best defense against a 'did they even clean the baseboards?' email. Cleaners take photos inside the visit, add markup to point out a stain that wouldn't lift, and collect a client signature when the job calls for one.

Photos and checklist answers attach to the visit automatically, so the office can pull them up in the middle of a complaint call instead of digging through someone's camera roll.

  • Photo capture with arrows, circles and notes
  • Client or property manager signatures on the phone
  • Checklist answers tied to the exact visit
  • Per-visit timers that feed timesheets

An installable web app, not another app store download

The field app is a progressive web app. Your team opens a link, taps 'Add to Home Screen', and it behaves like any other app on the phone: its own icon, full screen, notifications and offline storage.

That matters when you hire often. New cleaners are ready on day one without hunting for a download or fighting with an old phone's storage. Updates land automatically, so nobody is stuck on last month's version.

A day with maid.co

A Tuesday with no signal

Say Maria's first clean is a biweekly client in a basement apartment on Maple Street. She opens the field app on the sidewalk, taps the visit, reads that the key is in the lockbox and the cat hides under the bed. Then she heads downstairs and loses signal completely.

She works the checklist room by room, photographs the kitchen before and after, and marks that the oven wasn't on today's list. Her timer runs the whole time. When she climbs back up to the car, the phone reconnects and everything posts to the visit. She taps 'On my way' for the next client, who gets a text with her ETA, and follows the one-tap directions to the next home.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is the field app on the App Store or Google Play?

No. It's an installable web app (a PWA). Cleaners open a link in their phone's browser and add it to the home screen. It gets its own icon, runs full screen, sends push notifications and stores data for offline use. There's nothing to download from a store and updates happen automatically.

What exactly works offline?

Cleaners can view their scheduled jobs and visit details, fill out checklists, take and mark up photos, and start or stop timers without a connection. The app stores that work on the phone and syncs it to the office as soon as it reconnects. Changes the office makes while a cleaner is offline show up once the phone is back online.

Can my cleaners use it in Spanish?

Yes. The field app has a Spanish-language interface, so cleaners can work in the language they're most comfortable with. Your office can still write checklists and notes however you like, and many companies keep templates in both languages so every item is clear to every crew member.

Will cleaners see pricing or client payment details?

Only if you allow it. Permissions control what each role sees. A field crew preset shows jobs, notes, checklists and timers but hides costs and pricing. Crew leads or managers can be given more, like the ability to collect a payment or see the visit total.

Does it work on older phones?

It runs in modern mobile browsers on both iPhone and Android, which covers the phones most cleaners already carry. Because it's a web app, it takes far less storage than a typical native app, which helps on older devices that are always full of photos.
