erp.io Chat
Get your team off the group text
Most cleaning companies run on a group text: forty people, lockout photos, shift swaps and 'who has the Hendersons' key?' all in one scrolling mess. erp.io Chat gives your office and crews proper channels, tied to the jobs they're talking about.

Heads up, the Ross house has a new puppy. Gate stays closed.

@Marco can you grab 2 more mop pads from Van 2? Inventory shows low.

Got them. Also the Chen checklist now has "inside oven" added.
Channels that make sense
One per crew, one per location, one for the office, one for supplies. Messages go where they belong.
Connected to the job
@mention someone in a job note and they get notified in Chat, with a link straight to the visit.
AI that knows your business
Ask where a client key is or what time the next visit starts, and get the answer from your data.
Why the group text stops working
A group text is fine with three cleaners. At fifteen, it's noise. Personal numbers are exposed, new hires can't see anything from before they joined, people who leave keep reading, and important messages get buried under thumbs-up reactions.
erp.io Chat is Slack-style messaging built for your team, on the same login they already use for the field app. Add people when they're hired, remove them when they leave, and keep the conversation history with the business, not on someone's phone.
- Channels by crew, location, role or topic
- Direct messages and small group threads
- Photos and files, like lockout pictures or a damaged item
- Access removed the moment someone leaves the team
Chat that knows which job you mean
The biggest problem with outside messaging apps is context. A cleaner texts 'no one home, door locked' and the office has to figure out which client, which address, and whether there's a lockbox.
In erp.io Chat, conversations connect to the work. When a crew lead @mentions the dispatcher in a visit note, the dispatcher gets a Chat notification with a link to that exact visit, including the access notes and client contact. Replies stay with the job, so the next person looking at that client sees what happened.
- @mentions in job and visit notes notify people in Chat
- Links to visits, clients and quotes open the right record
- Notifications on phone and desktop, with quiet hours

AI that answers from your own data
Chat includes an AI assistant that can look things up across maid.co, within each person's permissions. A cleaner can ask for the gate code at their next stop. An office manager can ask which recurring clients are on the schedule tomorrow without a card on file. An owner can ask for a summary of today's visits by crew.
It saves a lot of 'hey can you check…' messages, and it respects the same roles you set everywhere else. Field crew don't get pricing answers if they can't see pricing.
A day with maid.co
A lockout at 9:15
Say your crew arrives at a biweekly client's house at 9:15. The lockbox code doesn't work. In the old world, the crew lead texts the owner's personal phone, who is at another job, who texts the client, who is at work in a meeting.
With erp.io Chat, the crew lead adds a note on the visit and @mentions the dispatcher. The dispatcher gets a notification, opens the visit, sees the access notes and the client's texting history, and messages the client from the team inbox. The client replies with the new code in four minutes.
The dispatcher updates the access note on the property and replies in the thread. The crew is inside by 9:25. Next visit, whichever cleaner goes will see the new code without anyone telling them.
FAQ
Questions, answered
Do cleaners need another app?
No. Chat is part of the same login your cleaners already use for the maid.co field app, which installs to their phone's home screen as a web app. They get push notifications for messages and @mentions. There is nothing extra to download from an app store.
Is chat separate from client texting?
Yes. Chat is for your team. Client conversations happen in the two-way texting inbox in the CRM, tied to the client record. The two connect: a dispatcher can discuss a client issue with the crew in Chat and reply to the client from the inbox, with both linked to the same visit.
Can I control who sees which channels?
Yes. Channels can be open to everyone, limited to certain roles like managers, or private. Crew channels can include just that crew and the dispatcher. When someone leaves your company and you deactivate their account, they lose access to Chat immediately along with everything else.
What can the AI assistant look up?
It can answer questions about your schedule, clients, properties, visits, quotes and invoices, limited by the permissions of the person asking. A field cleaner can get access notes for today's jobs. A manager can ask about unpaid invoices or tomorrow's route. It can also summarize long threads for someone catching up.
Does Chat work in Spanish?
The field app supports Spanish, and people write messages in whatever language they use. Many cleaning teams mix English and Spanish in the same channel. The AI assistant can help translate a message when a manager and a cleaner are more comfortable in different languages.
